Catalyst students choose to live a drug-free lifestyle and influence others through education, outreach, and policy change in our school, community, state and nation.
Catalyst is a club at Adlai E. Stevenson High School with over one hundred students who are devoted in creating and promoting a substance free lifestyle within our school and community. Through concentrated work (performed both in and outside of meetings), students are able to make an impact on the lives of others by changing the culture and perception of substance use. Catalyst is composed of several committees, each with individual responsibilities and roles which allow us to accomplish change in our school, community, state and nation. By leading through example in every day life and choosing to make decisions that hold each member accountable, Catalyst aims to influence the lives of all those we come into contact with.
In 2021, Catalyst launched the "What's Your WHY?" campaign. It encourages students to examine their values and choose a reason why they want to live life free of drugs and alcohol. Everyone has a reason.....What's Your Why?
